weekdays at the Southeast Center location, October through December from
9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. For those persons 65
years and older, there will be a charge/donation if you do not bring your
Medicare card. Those 60-64 years old will also need an insurance card.
The flu/pneumonia immunizations are given on a walk-in basis.

Macomb County. Must be 60 years or older and unable to prepare yourself a meal.
Share cost is $2.00 per meal.

SMART CONNECTOR
SERVICE

small bus service operates curb to curb service in St. Clair Shores,
Roseville and Eastpointe. Connector buses are wheelchair accessible and
available for trips to medical appointments in Macomb County including the
St. John’s Medical Center, grocery shopping, recreation programs and the
Macomb Mall. The fare is $1.00 per one way trip older adults and people
with disabilities. You may take an aide along to assist you if
necessary. Call six days in advance for trips to medical appointments and
two days in advance for general service. Visit

CHORE SERVICE & HOME INJURY
CONTROL
Chore service is available to senior citizens
60 years or older. The types of services offered include lawn mowing, snow
removal, and small home repairs. The program is targeted to seniors who
have a limited or fixed income or are handicapped and meet eligibility
guidelines. Donations are accepted
for the services and help to expand the program. For an application or
more information, call 469-6964.
MACOMB COUNTY LEGAL SERVICES
(586) 469-6406 (Senior Unit). Assistance
provided for problems regarding housing, income, and consumer or domestic
relations. There is no charge for this service but donations are accepted.. Must be age 60 or older.

MACOMB COUNTY ADULT DAY CARE CENTERS

Clinton Twp., MI 48043, (586) 469-5579. Macomb County operates two adult day care
centers for frail, handicapped, and memory impaired older adults, ages
60 and older. Open Tuesday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Fees
are on a sliding scale based on client's income. Offers social interaction,
activities, and a daily meal. Provides respite for the caregiver.
